It takes the Guru

The mind cannot figure out Enlightenment

1/9/11

Just do exactly what I have asked you to do, and that’s it.  I don’t care how much TV you watch or anything else, except what I have asked you to do exactly.  Just be obedient and do that perfectly, and then the next thing will be given and you can go deeper.  You can still have lots of faults and go deeper.  These instructions I’m giving you are dealing with your karma directly, and they are the doorway for Me to absorb your karmas. Don’t get all into self-guruing again, and figuring out your own sadhana.

Just do exactly what I ask you to do, intentionally, consciously, to the best of your ability. Not half-heartedly, but whole-heartedly go at it, no matter how simple it seems.  That is what I am asking.

You cannot change your own patterns. First, you cannot see your own patterns. Secondly, when you come to any situation, the mind takes all the information it has now – which comes from you living your patterns only – and tells you what to do.  So you do that.  There is no new idea or thought up from the mind, which is exactly like a computer.  It can only work with the information it has already, from experience.  The mind is exactly like a computer, and works with what is in there already, and spits out an answer to the problem at hand.  It has no new information, or methods, or whatever.  The only way a human being can change their patterning is to have input from a source that has really different information than they contain themselves.

So in order to wake up, it takes the Guru.  There are no ideas in the mind of the usual person about true Enlightenment, how to actually do it.  The Guru has done it, so the Guru can serve that process.  Self-guruing is not effective. Make the focus Me, doing and saying exactly, only, what I have said.
